Mission Trips
Each year during the summer I encourage volunteers to participate with us in a mission trip to Kenya where they are given the opportunities to share their faith in villages and/or to teach biblical principles to children, youth, women, and men. We are often invited to minister in schools because there is complete freedom to discuss and teach spiritual topics. On other occasions, we hold conferences and seminars for leaders at which we present teaching of bible doctrines.
Volunteers may also accompany me on trips during the spring and fall of each year when I primarily hold conferences within churches. As with any opportunity to minister, it is necessary that individuals pray seriously toward the Lord's will about making the trip. If the response is positive, then the Lord makes it His responsibility to provide all that is needed to fulfill the commitment to His will.
The world is relatively open for missions. The problem is the false teachers are playing on the emotionalism of world cultures to spread their heresy. Scripture warns that the last days will be characterized by deception (Matt. 24:4,23-26; 2; Mark 13:22; Thess. 2:7-12). An abundance of activity is never evidence of righteous behavior. Because there are false teachers profusely contaminating the world does not mean we allow them free course. When we teach the truth of Scripture, we see an immediate positive reaction that the Word has a freeing result when applied to the heart. Everyone who takes a mission trip returns with a spiritual infection that can never be cured.
